ASPMultiChat .NET is a HTML chat software. It's compatible with the most popular modern browsers like Internet Explorer 5.5+, Netscape Navigator 6+, Opera 7+. No client-side Java-applets, Plug-ins or ActiveX needed. Server-side part of software is written in C#. Client-side part written in Java Script and uses DHTML features of browser. Client-side scripts use sofisticated algorithm to provide continues, non-flickering refresh of chat board. My HTML-based chat is programmed using ASP and you're able to download all needed documents from this page. If you want to set up a chat server on your own ASP enabled site, just place these files in a directory of your choice and make a link to default.asp. This page is used to login users. Furthermore, you will need to add some lines in your global.asa file. Which lines will be described later.
