 Description: This script is a great script for all kinds of websites, i.e, chambers of commerce, churches, bands, etc. This calendar and event listing script, is great for any organization needing to provide a central location for site visitors to view a list of upcoming events, without the site visitor having to go through a lot of complicated screens. This script uses a back-end MySQL database to store the calendar entries, the reminders and user names and passwords. It does provide a login only/password protected administration panel. The script simply lists the events for each month. Site visitors can also be reminded of a particular upcoming event by providing their email address. The event descriptions allow for linking to a website for more information on a particular event. The script does contain explicit instructions for installation. The script has been tested on MySQL version 3.23 and PHP version 4.3. The script does require that you set a cron job on your web server so that reminders are sent as applicable.
